Greg with Maggie Muggins -- she's
always very camera shy, but she's also very impatient to get on with their
walkie. She really loves the crisp fall weather, and Swannanoa is her
favorite place to enjoy it!

What a nice backdrop for our
trailer!

A gorgeous palette: the leaves in
all their varied glory, along with the sky that always seems just a bit more
blue this time of year.

Sometimes, when I look at this
picture, I swear that I can see the water rippling. Those are the Black
Mountains of North Carolina in the distance.

These Canada Geese are year-round
residents of the Asheville East KOA, in Swannanoa.

A look back to Ohio -- this
beautiful stand of trees guards the entrance to the Lock 30 Woodlands
Campground.

A look even farther back, to
Massachusetts, and a pond along a route leading into The Berkshires.

I love the stillness of this pond,
in contrast with the rippling water depicted in an earlier photo. And I
can't quite put my finger on it, but sometimes autumn just plain feels
different in different parts of the country. It's not just the
temperature, though that would be fairly obvious as a contributing factor.
It's something else: maybe the sounds? Maybe the angle of the sun?
Whatever it is, I'm glad to have experienced it!
